Sweet Lake Cherry Shrub Cocktail


A tart and refreshing expression of cherry and thyme, this cocktail provides an explosion of citrus on the first sip. With an aroma of thyme, the mid-palette is washed with sweet cherry and finished with a hint of acidity. Perfect for beating the summer heat as well as serving as a reminder of warmer times.

1 cup cherries, pitted
1 cup sugar
1 cup red wine vinegar

Mix ingredients and muddle cherries. Boil on stovetop for 3 minutes.

2 ounces Sweet Lake Vodka
1/2 ounce Luxardo Cherry Liqueur
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 ounce Cherry Shrub
1 sprig of fresh thyme

Muddle thyme with lemon juice, cherry shrub mixture and simple syrup. Add ingredients and shake. Strain onto ice. Garnish with thyme.

Sweet Lake Cucumber Martini

A simple variation on a classic cocktail. Refreshing and mouthwatering, the addition of cucumber and lavender will transport you to a beautiful day in the countryside. A great accompaniment to a variety of light dishes and a warm, sunny day.

2 ounces Sweet Lake Vodka
2-3 fresh cucumber slices
2 sprigs fresh lavender
3/4 ounce simple syrup
1/2 ounce lime juice

Combine ingredients in a shaker and muddle. Add ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds. Strain and serve in a martini glass with a cucumber garnish.
